Frequently asked questions

  • Where is the studio?

Our address is 100 Carnegie Road, Hillington, Glasgow, G52 4JZ.

Our main door faces directly on to Carnegie Road. There is plenty of on-street parking.

  • What is Lagree?

Lagree is a high intensity, low impact muscular strength and endurance workout using body building techniques and controlled resistance.

Based on a specialist machine, this method has an emphasis on core strength, muscular endurance, and full body conditioning.

To some, Lagree may look like reformer pilates but it is very different!

    - We use different equipment with stronger resistance

    - We move with a different intention. Our method is strength and endurance based, as opposed to for mobility and rehabilitation like pilates

    - We use  techniques which are based on body building, such as time under tension and progressive overload

    - The results you'll experience are similar to if you were strength training in a gym with weights

  • What do I need?

Grip socks are essential for Lagree and you won't be able to participate in a class without them. These can be purchased from the studio if you don't already have them. We had branded crew socks for £10 or unbranded ankle crew socks for £6.

  • Who is Lagree for?

Lagree can be suitable for everyone, however please bear in mind that it is an intense workout.  Expect your heart rate to rise to around 150bpm .

It helps if you can already hold a plank and get into a lunge or a squat, however our highly-skilled experienced instructors will offer hands-on corrections and are always observing participants to ensure they are using the correct form and alignment.

Some injuries may prohibit you from getting the most from Lagree. These are mainly shoulder or rotator cuff injuries, acute lower back pain, recent foot/toe injuries, and unhealed joint sprains.

Please communicate with your instructor if you have any injuries, or send us a message if you are unsure whether you should attend.

We can modify many of the moves, however some are unavoidable.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 12 hours before your class is scheduled to start.

Cancellations within 12 hours will result in a lost credit.

There are no penalty fees for no-shows, however we will regularly review this policy so please give us as much notice as possible by contacting us via the website or social media if you need to cancel within 12 hours.

  • What if I'm late?

Due to the lagree method being a continuous 45 min class, we cannot accept latecomers under any circumstances. The studio door will be locked to avoid disturbances once the class begins.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your class is due to begin.

  • What does waitlist mean?

If you're on the waitlist for a class, you'll receive an email once there's a cancellation. Everyone on the waitlist then has an equal chance to book that space.

We understand that sometimes you might add yourself to a waitlist and forget, so we will never automatically add you to.a class and charge you.

  • What is the minimum age?

To use our services, you must be a real individual of 18 years of age minimum. Individuals aged 16 and 17 are permitted to use the studio with written consent from a parent or guardian

  • What if I'm pregnant?

Always inform your instructor if you are pregnant.

We ask you to seek advice and obtain sign off from your doctor if you are in your 2nd or 3rd trimester. It is not recommended to try Lagree as a new form of exercise if you are pregnant.

  • Do you have changing facilities and showers?

We have two modern new changing rooms with showers and hairdryers. There are also two toilets. These are both mixed gender.

We also have lockers to securely store your belongings.
